1. Chocolate and acne outbreak are closely related

Chocolate is basically harmless to our skin unless it is over-consumed. This is because the sugar in chocolates can make acne worse. However, the good news is chocolate boosts serotonin in the brain, which produces a calming effect. Because stress is often related to acne outbreaks, why not consider eating some chocolate to calm your nerves and help to prevent acne outbreaks? Just remember not to over-indulge! 2. Greasy foods give you congested skin

There’s no medical evidence for this. Greasy foods, while not really good for your health, will not cause oily skin or produce pimples.The truth is a more natural diet consisting of fresh fruits and veggies, whole grains, and lean proteins create a healthy body, in turn creating healthy, clear skin.” Since the causes for acne are different for everyone, there may be certain foods that can cause flare-ups in your skin. If a particular food seems to cause more breakouts for you. avoid it. But remember, there is no direct link between any specific food and the development of pimples.

3. Only fresh foods can benefit the skin

Vegetables that are frozen as soon as they are picked, for example, retain more nutrients than fresh ones that are left in a refrigerator for days. How you cook them also makes a big difference to their nutrient content.  It’s alright to stir-fry but better done with olive oil. Boiling is fine but steaming fresh vegetables is strongly recommended (water soluble nutrients don’t escape into the discarded water as they do with boiling).

4. Drink 8 glasses of water a day for your skin’s sake

Eight glasses of water a day may not be sufficient for your body. To get the correct amount of water you should be consuming daily in ounces, divide your body weight (in pounds) by two. If you weigh 150 pounds, then you should drink 75 ounces (2.2 liters) of water a day. If you weigh 128 pounds, then you should drink 64 ounces (1.9 liters) of water daily. Your requirements may vary if you perform heavy exercises that cause water loss or if you live in extreme heat. Thus, you will need more water to regulate your body temperature.
